"Would you sell your business right now?"
And without opening a single spreadsheet… without digging through folders… do you actually know what it’s worth?
Financially. Operationally. In real value.
I read that line from Alex Hormozi and whew and it hit me.
It forced me to look at how I run all my businesses, my marketing work and my craft studio shop. And I had to be honest with myself:
If the math doesn’t make sense… If I can’t clearly explain the revenue, retention, and growth…
Then I have no business calling it a business.
That was my wake-up call...
That question didn’t just change how I think about business it changed how I market it.
Because when you run your business like you’re selling it tomorrow, marketing stops being about vibes and starts being about value.
Before the end of Q1, operate your business like a buyer is watching.
Buyers care about:
- Predictable revenue
- Retention and repeat customers
- An owned audience (your email list = equity)
This week’s strategy is simple: Make your marketing make sense on paper.
If your marketing disappeared tomorrow, would your business still be valuable?
If not , that’s exactly what we’re fixing here.

Real Strategies from Brands We’re Obsessed With
If you don’t actually know what your customers are searching for online… and you’re just relying on trends, your friends’ opinions, family feedback, or long dragged-out surveys…
I’ve got a better answer.
Ask the Public When you go to AnswerThePublic, don’t just type something random be intentional with your keyword. Start with your core offer (what you actually sell), then search the problem you solve, the type of customer you serve, or the outcome they want. For example, instead of just typing “marketing,” try “email marketing for small business,” “how to get repeat customers,” “marketing for authors,” or “grow email list organically.” These types of keywords reveal real buying intent, real pain points, and real goals. Then click into the “Questions” section and expand everything especially the “how,” “why,” “can I,” and “best way to” results. That’s not just search data… that’s your next 30 days of emails, content, and even product ideas. Do This Instead ✅ Use it for your email marketing: Turn the top questions into subject lines and weekly email topics. If people are Googling it, they’ll open it.
✅ Use it for your content online: Create posts, reels, blogs, and captions directly answering those questions. Stop posting randomly start answering intentionally.
✅ Use it to refine your offers: If the same questions keep popping up, that’s a product, a service, or a bonus waiting to happen. This is how you market smarter....not louder. See ya next week!
